Turn the water off to the house at the bar valves that isolate the water treatment system. Drained the pre-filter housing and then re-placed the bag filter and their repeated the same steps to the post filter pulling out the door gradient and replacing it with a carbon filter to help clean the water more. Took a pre-filter water sample and tested PH hardness and iron levels pH was sitting out at 7.5, iron at 0, hardness at 14. Went into the programming of the water softener found it to be sad for 12 grains of hardness and to regen every 28 days. Change the programming to 14 grains of hardness and to regenerate every 10 days. Next started to try and figure out the green foreign material in the screen of the inlet side of the tankless water heater. We could not figure it, what we could determine is that its only on the hot side off the water system. Arrived for a safety and maintenance inspection. Customer stated that she only wanted the water heater flushed and drained. Turned off power and water to the unit, drained it down and flushed it 4 times. Filled back up and relieved air from the line. Returned power to the unit. Customer renewed their membership with us. Arrived onsite customer has a heatpump and electric furnace. System is 17 years old, heatpump is not running. Noticed a small kink in the line set on the inside unit. System is r22 refrigerant, because of this I am recommending the customer replace the system. Offered pricing for a diagnostic also. Customer approved the price to replace the system with like and kind equipment. High priority as the customer currently does not have any heat. Thank you for choosing CPI Plumbing and Heating Inc.
